Historic Berlin Congregational Church has been a beacon of faith and hope in our community since 1775.

About Our Pipe Organ:

  • Built by Austin Organ with installation accomplished in 1966 (opus #2437)
  • The 26-rank instrument contains 1,538 pipes, some metal and some wood
  • There are 32 stops and the organ is played from a 3 manual console
  • The organist can sound from 1 to more than 100 pipes by pressing a single key
  • The magic of our organ, while designed primarily for use in services of worship, it has been fitted to be a recital instrument for theater styles of organ composition

About Our Organist:

  • Tony Zulkeski begins his 27th year as music director at BCC
  • When he was 12, he fell in love with the pipe organ after receiving a recording of the Radio City Christmas performance
  • Two years later, he was organist at the Stevens Memorial Church and performed at the 1958 Eastern States Exposition
  • His musical vocation has taken him to over seven organist/director positions before coming to BCC
  • How does Tony feel about the church organ?:

“The pipe organ has been called the King of Instruments. The BCC organ is a phenomenal instrument that loves to be played.”
