Psalm 2:7-10; Isaiah 52:7-10; Ephesians 4:7-8, 11-16; Mark 16:15-20
Our reading from Isaiah makes several references to singing: “together they sing for joy,” and “break forth together in singing.” How is your singing doing these days?
Today is the birthday of Ella Fitzgerald born in 1917. She said, “The only thing better than singing is more singing.” I sure miss singing together. It just doesn’t work via Zoom. However we can do it, let us keep singing.
On a morning when the sun is shining, what else can we say but what we all can pray, today and any day, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). Maybe we need to sing it as well.
Don’t forget, if you have a prayer request for Sunday’s worship via Zoom, send me an email to me by the end of the day.
Blessings on your day,
